Description: The First Epistle of John (1 John) is a short but powerful New Testament letter, confronting head-on several great contrasts that everyone faces in life: light/darkness, love/hate, truth/falsehood, and identifying the characteristics of authentic Christ-followers in that process. Over 1600 years ago, St. Augustine delivered a series of homilies on 1 John and it is said that “during the course of delivering these homilies, he was interrupted time and again by applause and shouts of enthusiasm.” Come and see what everyone was so excited about, and why honest application of John’s letter will change your life.
