Missions & Outreach

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you… Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus called us to reach out to people from every nation — and we take this charge seriously. The unconditional love that God shows us every day is the exact love that we are commanded to show others. God calls us to share this love with people everywhere, and that is just what Creekside Christian Church strives to do. Serving through Missions ministry simply calls us to GO! It may be going into our community or further into another city or state even another county. There is most definitely a spot for everyone, and we challenge you to use your talents or vocational skills to make an impact! After all, God designed you for something special, and your Creekside family is here to help you fulfill your God-given purpose.

Our Missions Partners
North Florida Christian Service Camp (NFCSC)
This Mission partner of Creekside is also the home of summer camp for many of Creekside’s children and youth each summer. The camp, which started in 1964, offers camp fun as well as service opportunities for many of our youth and ministry staff. Located just over an hour from Creekside in Keystone Heights, Florida, the camp offers retreats and many other special activities. NFCSC is a place where many childhood memories and lifelong friendships are made.

Pr22:6 Resource Ministry
Our ministry partners at Pr 22:6 Resource Ministry are committed to providing Christian Education materials to train, equip and encourage youth to serve within local Dominican Republic churches. The aim is to nurture the growth of future leaders, thereby strengthening and solidifying the church’s future! We have ongoing opportunities for our Creekside family to go on mission trips to support this mission.

Central Brazil Mission
The Central Brazil Mission has been part of the Missions field for over 45 years! This Mission spends time building churches and helping reach people with the Gospel, but their primary focus is the Amazon Boat Ministry. The Amazon Boat Ministry provides assistance and medical care to people living in villages along the many tributaries of the Amazon River and this September 2016 we are heading to Brazil to support the boat ministry.

Johnson University Florida
Located in Kissimmee, Florida Johnson University is committed to offering an affordable higher Christian education.

A Message from our Missions Partner
DEAR FAITHFUL C.B.M. PARTNERS AND FRIENDS,

Greetings from Goiânia but on our way to the U.S. We will be returning the end of October. Ruth Anne will see a back surgeon on October 29 and will find out what has to be done to get rid of lower back and leg pain. PLEASE BE PRAYING FOR US AND ESPECIALLY FOR HER DURING THESE NEXT FEW MONTHS. We hope to see many of you in Cincinnati at the ICOM Missionary Conference November 15-18. During November, December and January I will be visiting many of our supporting churches giving updates of the Amazon Project: Christ, Life and Health.

During the last seven weeks we did five Amazon Boat Trips, Ruth Anne and I stayed on the boat the entire time. We had excellent trips, being able to visit some new villages and were able to treat over 6,000 individuals. We also saw over 15 baptisms from villages and the São Sebastião Church. Another blessing during this time was to see part of the teams stay in São Sebastião and work at the Greenhouse. A new “Chicken Palace” project was built and is in operation as the Greenhouse expands its ministry. Thanks so much to those who stayed and helped with this project. Also a new foundation was laid for the building of another Greenhouse.

The crew on the boat is wanting and willing to do more trips as we plan to reach new villages with medical/dental help and especially with the new life in Christ. Please visit our website (www.cbm.org.br) for open dates for more Amazon Boat Trips the next few years. We have experimented and we can do trips that are just a week-long: Sunday to Sunday. Maybe that will be better for your church or group.

Thanks so very much for being a part of our lives and the CBM Ministry almost 50 years. We are grateful for your prayers and financial support that make possible this mission work. Please see the page of photos with this letter. And with your help, we will continue…

Working For A Greater Harvest,
Earl, Ruth Anne, Michael, Debbie and Amazon Team

Missions Ministry Sponsored Events
Often when people think of Missions, they think of mission trips abroad. While that is one significant facet of our Missions Ministry, there is so much more! Reaching the lost is certainly one of our goals every day, but so is spiritual growth within our own family right here in our church.

Dominican Republic Mission Trip Giving Tree Fundraiser: Located in the back of the Worship Center after worship services through December 30th is a DR Mission Trip giving tree. Feel free to take an ornament home and bring back the items listed on the ornament. This will help with the tangible items the team is collecting for the trip. Everyone plays a different role in the mission trip, this could be your place to help! Please contact Jamie Halstead with questions.

Central Brazil Mission Trip: Central Brazil Mission, Project Amazonia, is a medical mission boat that travels to approximately 90 villages along the Amazon River and its tributaries. The crew and American volunteers bring medical and dental care to the people in the villages, establishing relationships and most importantly bring the message of Jesus.  There will be a team going from Creekside of approximately 12 people on June 4th-14th. The cost of the trip is $2200/per person and fundraiser opportunities are available. Each person is also allowed 2 checked bags which will be filled with medicine and supplies for the people in the Amazon. The cost to fill each bag is approximately $500. Any support would be greatly appreciated. This is a big undertaking for the volunteers that are going. Please pray for the CCC team that will be going on this trip.
