How is it that Jesus can take the very worst part of us and transform us so that His love and light shines through us? How is it that a murderous, evil, and wicked man like Saul could be changed into a “saint of saints” and a slave of Jesus Christ?
Of course the answer lies in the transformational power of Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit… for it is by grace we have been saved, through faith. However, there is another component to consider and that is our will! While we must always yield our will to the will of the Father, we must also exercise our will against the influences of the world in order to hear God’s message and stay on the path He has set for our lives! For it’s only when we intentionally seek the Lord’s guidance, and we intentionally listen for Him to speak in our lives, and we intentionally do what He tells us to do, that we become transformed into God’s saints set apart by God Himself.
