Sometimes we need God’s help and God’s power to behave in a way that honors Him and His will for us and our behavior! We know we will face trials and will encounter other imperfect people like us who will persecute us either knowingly or unknowingly. When this happens, we need to remember what Philippians 2:13 says. “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” Remember the example of King David. He remained faithful to God, even when he had the chance to take Saul out permanently. Though his obedience cost him temporary discomfort, God ultimately rewarded him for his obedience.
