Day 6: God Can Handle Your Doubts
God Can Handle Your DoubtsRead: Mark 9:21–24“I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief! (Mark 9:24)”Doubt can feel disqualifying, but Scripture treats honest doubt as a doorway. The opposite of faith isn’t doubt—it’s unbelief. Doubt can actually drive us deeper into dependence on Christ. The desperate father in Mark 9 brings both faith and unbelief to Jesus, and Jesus meets him with compassion and power. Zechariah wrestled. Thomas needed to see. God did not cancel them; He grew them.Bring your questions into the light. Ask them in prayer, in Scripture, and in trusted community. Parents, give your kids permission to wonder and wrestle. When the Church becomes a safe place for questions, people stick around long enough to find real answers. At Creekside, to Know Christ is to come as you are. Don’t hide doubt; hand it to Jesus. The goal isn’t certainty about everything but trust in Someone who is certain. He is faithful to finish the work He began—even in you.Reflect:
- What honest question do you need to bring to Jesus?
- Who could you invite into your questions so you don’t wrestle alone?
