Day 10: Peace Has a Name
Peace Has a Name
Read: Micah 5:2–5; Ephesians 2:14
“He himself is our peace. (Ephesians 2:14)”
Micah promised a ruler from Bethlehem who would shepherd His people and be their peace. Paul later declares that Jesus doesn’t just bring peace; He is peace. That means peace is available right now, not when everything finally settles, but in the middle of what isn’t.
Practice receiving that peace. Breathe slowly and name your stresses to God. Open your hands as a sign of surrender. Speak peace over your home—over anxiety, schedules, and strained relationships. Parents, try a one-minute “peace pause” with your kids and ask Jesus to rule your hearts together.
At Creekside, we Grow in Community when we become peacemakers—people who pursue reconciliation and speak life. Let the Prince of Peace reign in you, and His peace will travel with you into every room you enter.
Reflect:
- Where do you need to remember that Jesus Himself is your peace?
- What peacemaking step could you take toward someone this week?
