Day 16: Who Do You Say He Is?
Who Do You Say He Is?
Read: Luke 2:25–35; Mark 8:29
“My eyes have seen your salvation. (Luke 2:30)”
Simeon holds the infant Jesus and declares that God’s salvation has arrived. Years later, Jesus asks His disciples, “Who do you say I am?” Advent presses that same question into our lives. Is Jesus a seasonal tradition, or is He Savior and Lord?
Your answer shows up in your calendar, priorities, and responses under pressure. Naming Jesus as Lord looks like trusting Him with money decisions, forgiving when it’s costly, and obeying when it’s inconvenient. Parents, let your kids see your allegiance to Jesus in action, not just hear it in theory.
At Creekside, to Know Christ is to center life on Him. Ask the Spirit to reveal where your confession and your choices need to realign. The Lord you trust is also the Shepherd who loves you.
Reflect:
- How would your week look different if Jesus’ lordship led every decision?
- What one area is He inviting under His leadership today?
