Day 23 – Love Came Down
Love Came Down
Read: 1 John 4:9–11; John 3:16
“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son. (1 John 4:10)”
Christmas announces that love moves first. God didn’t wait for us to climb to Him; He descended to us. That love is not abstract—it takes on flesh in Jesus and takes on action in us. Receive it, then reflect it.
Let love lead your plans: patience in lines, kindness in words, generosity in giving, forgiveness in conflict. Parents, invite your kids to brainstorm practical ways to love a neighbor or classmate this week. Love is our apologetic—how the world recognizes we belong to Jesus.
At Creekside, we Grow in Community and Go with Compassion because we have been loved first. Let the God-who-came-near define how you move toward others today.
Reflect:
- Where is God inviting you to act in love today?
- Who needs a tangible expression of Christ’s love through you?
