Day 9: Born on Purpose, For a Purpose

  -

Born on Purpose, For a Purpose

Read: Luke 1:76–79

“To give his people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins. (Luke 1:77)”

John the Baptist’s calling was unique, but the pattern is universal: God saves us for purpose. We are not spiritual consumers; we are Kingdom carriers—preparing the way for Jesus in our spheres of influence. Your purpose may look like integrity at work, prayer at home, hospitality on your street, or courage with a friend.

Parents, remind your kids that God’s grace makes them both deeply loved and meaningfully sent. Ask at dinner, “How did we carry Jesus’ love into our world today?” Small faithfulness over time forms a life of impact.

At Creekside, purpose flows from our mission: Know Christ, Grow in Community, Go with Compassion. Purpose isn’t something you discover once; it’s someone you follow daily. Walk with Jesus and He will lead you into the good works He prepared for you.

Reflect:

  • Where is God inviting you to “prepare the way” for Jesus this week?
  • What small step of purpose can you take today in your home, work, or neighborhood?
