Kurt

Kurt Johnson recently began his first term as Elder at Creekside Christian Church in January 2024. Kurt and his wife, Debra (Deb) were both born and raised in Neenah, Wisconsin. After retiring from the Navy and checking out a few other places, they now live in St. Johns and call Florida home. They have two daughters and four grandchildren and when they aren’t serving in some way with God’s Kingdom, you will find them traveling! Kurt enjoys all sports, woodworking, along with research and writing.

Kurt loves Creekside’s Great Commission focus, and unwillingness to compromise or dilute Scripture in the face of growing cultural pressure.  He also deeply appreciates this amazing team of Christian brothers and sisters at Creekside. His favorite verse is Proverbs 16:3, ““Commit your works to the Lord, and your thoughts will be established”.

Fun Fact: I share a birthday with my first daughter and was married on my wife’s birthday.
